I have asked the author of Occult 4, Dave Herald, about the differences.

His contact times were based on an assumed linear movement of the moons.

He agrees with the fact that there is only one occultation with 2 minimal distances.

The phenomena is accurately simulated with Guide.

I hadn't noticed the Dec 12 occultation. Looks cool and I hope we'll see some nice images of the event.
