Hmmm... not sure I follow the problem here...

You _should_ (in theory!) be able to tell Guide to connect to an ASCOM
scope. It will then handle the connection and Guide will be able to slew
the telescope (or read the position of the telescope).

Are you seeing any error messages?

Am I correct in thinking that if you use the LX-200 setting in Guide,
it is able to control the telescope? The only problems occur when using
ASCOM?
