Right click on the ring and in the "display" box that appears turn it off.

I seem to have a glitch in my program that won't allow me to turn mine off also
using the icon on my toolbar. Just a recent happening.

I got it fixed by playing around with the "startup dot mar" file while adding the
aperture circle in the normal manner. When editing the mar file use the notepad
editor and be careful what you do as lines must have same spacing with no strange
formatting.
