I'll add that, using the go to asteriod dialog box, "C/2011 L4" is a valid entry and Guide goes to the comet!

Behavior is the same in Quick Info whether I have enabled my [modified] MPCORB file or the built-in asteroid file.

(Guide 9 (Feb 26) and Windows 7 (64 bit).
