Re: [guide-user] UCAC-4 doesn't display

Hi Ned,
one other thing, if the apearance of ucac4 stars ist set too low and you have to zoom to let's say deeper than arcminutes. click on one ucac4 stars which apear an set the show-value to something like a degree ore two, that was one issue I discovered when installing ucac4 and other catalogs. If you set the show value to more than 5 degrees, guide will take ages because of to many stars and the starfields get overcrowded.
For a programm to access the files take a look at the access folder on the dvd. If you have copied it, too, than just compile the c or fortran code and you can extract data. If extracting fails you'll get error messages which tell you what' wrong with the data. But I don't think that will ever be neccessary.
cheers Christian

I tried c:\UCAC4 and C:\UCAC4\ub4.
No joy.
Is there a program available to look at the contents of the z00x files inub4? Perhaps they are corrupt.
