Ned,
in your guide.dat file the line should look like this,
"UCAC4_PATH=c:\guide9\ucac4"
replace the "c:\guide9\ucac4" with the path to your ucac4 folder.
in the "ucac4" folder in the path above, you should have all the ucac4
files. I do not have any other folders in mine, only files from z001 to
z900.
Make sure "UACA-4" is checked in the "extra" - "toggle user datasets"
Adjust the dataset to show between 0 to 1 degree with auto checked and
limiting magnitude equal to what your stars mag is set at for 1 degree,
i.e 16 mag for mine. Zoom below 1 degree and the fainter stars visible
should be ucac4.
