Oh, this is indeed lovely now. The fix worked, and I'm also viewing stars to 17th magnitude thanks to your inclusion of UCAC3.
Question, if I may. The UCAC3 database from your DVD is 877MB in size compared to 7.88GB on the full database from the USNO DVD.
1) What did you leave out?
2) Seeing that you remamed the smaller files as x001, x002 instead of z001, z002 etc., should I wish to access the full database what's the best way to go about it?
Quoting from a recent entry discussing the use of UCAC4: "I created a folder called ucac4 and copied all the files from u4b and u4i(UCAC4 disk, both sides) into the new ucac4 folder on my hard drive. Then I added a new line to the Guide.dat file, UCAC4_PATH=c:\ucac4 Is the same as you would do if you were using UCAC3, which I also have installed in Guide."
Will this approach work even though the files appear to be named a bit differently?
