Hi Ben

I only looked at your first example, but, will look at the rest later.

I have 2 NGC291 objects:
NGC291/PGC0003140 - left click 14.8, more info 14.8 (B)
NGC291/Galaxy - left click 14.5, more info 14.5 (NGC/IC Project)
I don't know what files are used for the magnitudes, but, hopefully Bill or another more knowledgeable forum member will answer.
