Thank you for all the advises. As the sky is here completely closed
by rains and storms since many days I will test AMM and cables afterwards.

My Compaq Presario laptop has one serial outfit and one usb connection
for the mouse. How do I manage ?
Can you give examples of commands to the modem ?
