the better question is:
"Why would anyone ever want to use 'The Sky' to operate the telescope?"
It is the most user-unfriendly operating platform on the planet.

The primary reason that we do not own a Paramount ME is simply because you must use
TheSky to operate it and I have learned it is the most difficult mess, with lots of
bells and whistles that are simply not needed by most observers.
