Usually, when one person tells me they don't like X in Guide, it
means there are several more who haven't gotten around to telling me.
When two people tell me they don't like X, it probably means it's
widely hated. So I assume the lunar phase indicator mixed with the
compass symbol is Guide's version of "New Coke".

I have revised the update so that the Legend dialog has a separate
"Lunar phase indicator" check-box. Also, the lunar phase indicator
now appears in a separate box from the compass box. As always, this
"in testing" update is available at

This also includes a new feature to display apparent diameters in
ephemerides, as was suggested on this list.

Also: there was quite a bit of confusion about how to install this
Guide 9 update when running with a Guide 8 disk. I've revised things a
bit, and I've hopes the current directions make things easy to follow.
Or at least, easier than they were.

Please let me know if it's still a problem. I expect to make this
version "official" (assuming no serious bugs crop up).
