The only place that I have seen in depth discussion of using a Skysensor
2000 with a PC is with Starlight's STAR2000 system. This is a roundabout
way of looking at it but if you look at

there is a image right at the bottom of the page showing a Skysensor
pinout. Now STAR2000 is LX200 compliant along with Celestron and Skysensor
compliant. it's just that Skysensor doesn't follow the SBIG ST4 protocol
wiring.

My question is -
Could it be that Guide is sending commands down the wrong wire in the SS
cable? ie if it sends a "Slew" signal down the right wire for an LX200 or
Celestron this might not be the right wire on the Skysensor?

Does that make sense??!!

The other option is to use the CTC guider, but that doesn't help if you
already have SS2000

Everytime I have heard about problems controlling a SS2000 the root cause
is usually the different pinouts between an ST4 compatible and the SS2000.

Bill - just a small user friendliness thing about finding items in menus.
When I want to goto a certain constellation/ object etc , I go to the menu
and have to scroll through all of them to find the right one. I have
noticed that if I press 'C' for instance it will bring up the first
constellation beginning with C - Caelum.
Now if I want to goto Crux and press R after C it will take me to Reticulum
or something.
It would be much easier if I could press C then R and come up with Crux.
I've seen this happen in many help file indexes and it's very good for
finding info quickly.
