Just to let you know that I have been running guide 8 on an intel IMac 7.1 for a while now embedde in a wine process. It works just fine, except tha fact that I don't see (at the moment) how to add datasets manually. I haven't tried printing either, but it works great for what I do (deep sky data gathering, DSS images import and so on).
One thing that could fully enable datasets import would be to have it ordered directly by the guide software.
