Re: [guide-user] Re: CCD Frame no more visible

Hi Reinhold,

Tony and I had the same thought. I'd suggest e-mailing me the file 'startup.mar' from your
Guide folder. All the CCD-related information is in that file; if I load it, I ought to get
the same disappearing CCD problem.

A couple of things to try (after sending me 'startup.mar', though!):

Try changing the color, and selecting a different CCD.

If you set a one-degree field of view (level 8), select the SBIG ST-8, and set a focal
length of 2000 millimeters, the CCD frame should cover about a third of the screen, with
the guider chip shown as a nearby square. The CCD dialog should tell you that the main
chip covers 23.65' x 15.77', with pixels that are .93" square. Turning on the 'Guider
Range' check-box should provide two dotted circles that touch the guider chip.

Clicking on 'Spin Left' and 'Spin Right' should cause the CCD frame to rotate.

If any of these doesn't happen, let me know which part fails. It seems weird that
you only see the frame with 'show pixels' checked... when you do that, the pixel
grid should show up faintly, with the actual chip outline shown boldly; do you see
the chip outline at all, or just the pixel grid?
