well, my preferred procedure is to visit
http://www.minorplanetcenter.org/iau/MPCORB.html
Scroll down to section "Elements of NEAs for current epochs", select there proper epoch and save the downloaded file to Guide folder as mpcorb.dat and then tell Guide to use MPCORB. If you select the correct epoch (you can check it after right click on the minor planet and check the epoch date). In such way I get the NEA (topocentric) ephemeris correct to few arcseconds usually.
The only backdraw is that Guide doesn't recognize the provisional designation, if you search for it like 2005 UY55 (but the numbered one it finds). So you have to use some kind of trick like list asteroids brighter than ... and pick it from that list.
