Hi Steve

Have you tried matching the settings of your PC with the ones on the
laptop? Given the laptop is working.
If I remember rightly the U2k manual has a picture of all the correct
settings for comm. with the scope.
Also make sure you have the correct radio buttons checked in Guide to match
the com port being used.

Windows has just detected a telescope attached to your computer and is
performing alignments for you.
