I was looking at Guide the other day and in some earlier versions it
mentions that it could update itself from a text file of RA and DEC
positions. I am guessing this was added for a particular telescope
controller. So in affect it would plot the position of the telescope
without connecting through the RS232. So I had a play and could get the automatic updating working but I could not find a way of getting it to read a text file of RA and DEC positions.
It does look like it tries to read a file in the AltAz mode but not sure
where the file should be or what it should be called.
Is the feature is still in Guide 8 and..
what is the file name,
the format of the file,
how do I activate it?

I use a custom program for opperating my scope, and thought it would be great to have Guide running at the same time AND updating with a file from my program.
