Stuart, yes, this update includes ALL fixes. One could, for example,
re-install from the original Guide 8.0 disk, then apply the update, and
be completely updated.

From _that_ standpoint, the improvements are apt to blow his mind. I
often feel as if progress in Guide is glacial, and in some ways, it has been.
But "current" Guide is a tremendous step forward from "original, off the CD"
Guide.

Clay, regarding being "gun-shy": you _can_ just back up your current
Guide folder (perhaps just copy its contents to an "old_guide" folder),
and then apply the update. Then, the worst that happens is that you
have to restore the Guide folder. I will bet strongly that you will not
see a reason to do so, but it's probably a prudent step. Before applying
an update to just about anything, I usually try to make sure I can undo
any disasters or annoyances.

(Just please be sure that if you _do_ see a disaster, or even just an
annoying bug, that you let me know about it, ideally _before_ reverting
to a previous version!)
