For the past couple years I have been using a Gateway with an AMD 951MHz processor with 448MB of RAM to run Guide 8 to control my LX200GPS with no problems. Of late when I have Guide 8 slew the scope after the scope beeps indicating the completion of a slew Guide 8 pops up a small error window with a number and exclamation point. I also get an error message when I use the query scope toolbar button for the LX200GPS. I thought there was a problem with the control cable from the computers COM port to the scope so I just replaced that with a new one from ScopeStuff but the error messages persist.

Any ideas?
