Re: [guide-user] Guide in Windows 7 64Bit

Hi Nelson,

> A bit quirky.

Aside from the time zone issue, what else did you see? As I've
mentioned recently, I'm collecting bug reports in hopes of fixing as
much as possible before getting Guide 9 disks made.

I should perhaps mention that I _thought_ Vista/Win7 issues had all
been thoroughly fixed. I was wrong. I've just been doing some testing
on a Win7 box, and saw two issues: toolbar buttons have a bit of space
between them (when you move the cursor over them, it's apparent that
Win7 has taken the liberty of padding them slightly on both sides),
and some horrible misbehavior when I attempted to update satellite
elements. It appears that the site Guide uses for satellite elements
isn't working right now, and Guide isn't handling this gracefully.
(Though it does so on an old WinME box, and in Wine in Ubuntu Linux.)

There are some other bugs that I don't think are particular to any
Windows version, such as the NexStar control issue that's been discussed
here in recent days.

I didn't see a time zone issue, though. One can reset the time zone
by clicking on the time zone shown in the legend; or by going through
Settings... Time Menu; or by clicking on the time shown in the legend,
then on the time zone shown in the resulting dialog. All three methods
work for me.

What happens when you attempt to reset the time zone? (Do you get the
list of time zones, or does it just not respond to clicking on the time
zone button? Does it work using some of the above methods, but not others?
Is it a problem along the lines of "I selected time zone X, clicked OK,
but nothing happened"?)
