Ouch! Yup, that's a bug.
If you chose, say, the "NW" button while at level 1, Guide
would put you at an altitude of about 92 degrees in the northwest. Of
course, that also corresponds to 88 degrees in the southeast. (The
altitude is a function of zoom level. At levels 2 and beyond,
there's no problem.)
I added a couple of lines of code to fix this. I've gotten feedback
from Clay about the NexStar problem, but am now more puzzled than I was
to start with (I thought the program was getting a garbled response
to the 'slew Guide' command; turns out it's not getting _any_ reply).
Once I've figured this out, I'll be posting an update... which will
include this Horizon dialog fix.
