I'll take a look at what Wikisky is doing. The current method is
easy enough from the viewpoint of size (just zoom in and get the field
you want), but the colored images are horribly slow.

I've also wanted to add some better tools for setting the display
of these images (contrast/brightness controls that are less confusing,
and maybe a couple of false-color palettes... Charon has had these for
a while now, so I can copy some existing code.)

(I should again add a warning that right now, I'm mostly in "bug fix
only" mode, because I've hopes of getting Guide 9 DVDs made soon. I
don't want to add anything too ambitious, possibly adding bugs, and
then find out that I've just had a few thousand Frisbees made!)
