Because it is designed by an astronomer and not by a sales team. Its
features are real, and not there to push sales, which may not help Bill's
bottom line but is great for the users.

Amen to that.
I have had the opportunity to choose virtually every sky program available
and in fact
there are a couple of telescopes that I have simply refused to use because
their mounts
were specific to one program that I find very user-unfriendly and frankly
with less
supportive features for basic telescope operation and support.

The two reasons I have stuck with Guide (...other than blushing Bill.....)
