Re: [guide-user] Why do I love Guide?

Amen to that.
I have had the opportunity to choose virtually every sky program available and in fact
there are a couple of telescopes that I have simply refused to use because their mounts
were specific to one program that I find very user-unfriendly and frankly with less
supportive features for basic telescope operation and support.

The two reasons I have stuck with Guide (...other than blushing Bill.....) are:

1) ease of use and simplicity of telescope control and target acquisition;
2) it is by far the best program out there for constant (daily) updates of NEOs and Comets
without much hassle whatsoever.

In addition, I am one of the limited disciples of CHARON, Guide's very fine astrometric
measurement program. Again, simple and right to the point and very user friendly.

....and then there are all the great folks on the Guide Yahoo discussion group.
