Guide comes with Brian Skiff's LONEOS.phot complete with TDF.

In recent years Brian has been superceding this file, somewhat starting afresh, to bring a critically appraised photometric source compilation which should be of interest to any photometrist who actually uses loneos.phot, or astronomer who uses loneos.phot in Guide.

A while ago I made a TDF for this file.

I've just downloaded the latest version and the columns seem to be all fine and standard and unchanged, so the old TDF still works.

It plots the stars labelled with their V mag and V-I colour (the most often quoted colour) as white stars. Labelling, mag limit, maximum field width at which displayed (default 20 degrees) all adjustable via right mouse click and the DISPLAY button.

Currently 75000 plus stars.

NOW, the source file as downloaded is not fully sorted. You can either sort the file on column 50, and use the cut and pasted TDF as is, or cut and paste the following TDF into a text editor and save in the Guide directory and THEN convert the two lines saying

sort 1

to

sort 0

which will still read the unsorted data, but can make display in Guide slow when files become somewhat sizeable.

The TDF is below. This will be an evolving resource.
