thanks for your hint, it works as expected.

Hmmm, I think that years ago my Guide was able to render the planets with textures. My box is running the latest version of Guide but I did not find any setting to have planets rendered naturally. I only see globes with uniform color and lat/long grids. No problem, I don't really need this. Just wondering were it might be hidden.

BTW: the next version of E&T will finally feature the "individual horizon", allowing to define an obstructed horizon and have it taken into account for the determination of observing schedules or best times to view an object (planets included).
