Re: [guide-user] Screenfont with numbers smaller or at least equal to letters

You really need the most simple and graphically geometrical font that you can find to
minimize confusion between labels, numbers and all I.D.'s and objects appearing on the
star charts.

We have found that ARIAL (just plain Arial, not bold, nor any derivation of it.....) is by
far the best for the charts at all scales.
Even with this simply font, it is necessary to limit considerably the magnitude at which
labeling on the screen ceases to lower the clutter seen on the screen. Likewise, any
objects that you are not typically interested in searching for (Abell, NGC, etc.) should
have the label option turned OFF; you can always activate the labels if you are searching
for any type of object.

As far as font size, I have found that 10-point is by far the most agreeable to the eye
and lessens clutter on all scales.
I would suggest turning the Greek labels OFF since they apply to such a limited number of
stars which have other ways to identify them if you are not familiar with each particular
constellation.
