Re: Guide no longer runnning......

Hi Bil - and everyone

I 'solved' the problem after already having done many of the suggestions (before seeing these posts). What eventually fixed it was simply copying my Guide directory files from a different computer! My main home computer is the 64-bit and was suddenly showing this strange fault. I also have a 32-bit OS version on the same laptop and this was also showing the same fault. I then realised that I had made both Guide installations use the same directory - hence that was why both showed the same fault - though it doesn't explain the fault itself.

My observatory laptop also has Guide running - and was fine, so I did the copy and all is now well.

Maybe we shall never know! I believe that one of the best 'fixes' is as was suggested - do a complete reinstall. This does frustrate the 'fix it' in me though!
