I think you need the current update, from

I just tried running Guide installed straight from the CD, and I
replicated your plot, in which only quasars at lower RA values were
shown. (I think some other large datasets were affected, too.)
Somewhere along the line, I must have fixed this, because the
current software _does_ show all quasars.

Also, be advised that the original Guide 8.0 disks had data from
the Veron/Veron-Cetty catalog, 10th edition. We're now up to the
13th edition. If you get this file:

ftp://cdsarc.u-strasbg.fr/pub/cats/VII/258/qso.dat

...and save it in your Guide folder as 'table1.dat', Guide will
use this new 13th edition instead of the 10th. The 13th edition has
more up-to-date information, and lists 130843 objects (the 10th had
only 23760, but a lot of quasars were found after that.)
