Uh oh...

Thanks for pointing this out. I just tried it: I started up Guide,
right-clicked on a star, then on "Next". Guide went to the next-nearest
star. Clicking on "Next" after that got me the next star after that,
and so on: everything worked.

I then went into Settings... Scope Control, and told Guide I had
an ASCOM scope. Suddenly, "Next" didn't work: it resulted in my
getting the same star each time.

It appears to be ASCOM-specific (i.e., tell Guide you have an LX-200,
and Next continues to work). This ought to keep me busy for a while.
