would the following be possible for Guide in the near future. You'll
probably tell me some is already supported by guide:

1) Inversion menu: Can it have a rotate left/right button like the CCD
menu. Typing the angle and returning to the pop up menu every time
is very tedious when trying to line up CCD images.

2) Com port timeout: Can you add options to adjust the time out (30 sec
is far too much, I'd prefer 1 second (for my equipment anyway)),
and even one to remove the test, or make the message a simple warning
with no OK button, that will disappear after a minute or...

3) Can Charon be an integral part of Guide, just to find and orient
the stars in the fit image? It would be lovely to simply click on a
button and probably superimpose the image live? or? In faint
star fields, it can be difficult for me at the scope to make certain
I'm on target, particularly with a Barlow and less than 5 minutes
for a CCD frame (going after Sky & Tel Charon/Pluto challenge).
I can spend 5-10 minutes on this exercise.

4) Magnitude: Can you have hot-keys or menu buttons to up/down the
magnitude limit. Tedious to write with the keyboard.
If the limit is set too high, can guide not refresh the display,
perhaps with a message, when the displayed star count is too high,
avoiding the lengthy display of a cluttered screen! The star count
limit could be user set depending on CPU resources.

5) Can Guide be made to interrogate or await regular position updates
from an LX200. If interrogate, time interval would be user set.

6) Current time update: I have never managed to get the real time animation
to refresh the screen at any other time interval than 1 second, which
is infuriating since I need only see the Horizon motion every minute
or so. Am I missing something?

More ideas to come, forget to jot the rest of them down under the dome
last night.

Guide is still the best darn piece of s/w I have ever purchased,
nay it's the only one good enough I'd consider paying for!

Not so worried about LX200 mechanical compensation: I isolated most of
my goto centring problems to flexing in the optical encoder couplings.
It led to 15 arc minutes on RA, a whole CCD frame.
