Wups! That's PPMXL, the new dataset John Greaves mentioned
a while back. It shouldn't have appeared in this update; it's
not quite ready for prime time. You should probably just go
into Settings... Toolbar and turn it off.

I think John is right about PPMXL being a (potentially) Really
Useful Star Catalogue. It combines data from B1.0 and 2MASS,
which means you get magnitudes from both optical and IR sources
and somewhat more realistic proper motions than B1.0 was able
to manage. I stress that I haven't done really in-depth testing
yet, but it _appears_ to have fewer issues than UCAC-3. Which
is why I've been experimenting with the ability to download it
from VizieR, similar to other mega-catalogues such as UCAC-3
and B1.0 and GSC-2.3 and so on.
