Clay and Bill,

The only way I could duplicate the "missing" Common Stars problem was
after I decided they weren't really missing. Try going to Star
Display, check _only_ common stars, uncheck all others and check that
the top box in the upper right is white. If black, click and make it
white. Black labels won't show on a black background. Next go to
Display Background and make sure that Normal Colors is set to black
and Chart is set to white. Common star labels should now show in
white for a black background. In Chart mode just change the labels
to white, change them back when you go back to Normal mode.

You should be able to turn the labels on and off in both
cases. Since the problem occurs with all 13 of Clay's computers, I
suspect some default switch is not working in his setup. I rarely
use Chart mode, but seem to recall that the proper label color turned
up for either mode.
