I was away from astro hobby a few years. Old w2k with Guide8 is not in service, put it on newer w2k, running great, except one feature (so far). I know I ran xz80q tdf on old pc, I've read what I've found as to how to do it, have the catalog, sorted it, etc, but this tdf does not display? any idea what to look for or why it might be snafu? I've add 2UCAC stars to hdd, they display, and some other tdf too, so it is not as if I'm totally clueless. this dataset does show up in "extras" and I switch it on, it just does not display. I even saw one entry somewhere about line 14 in tdf had to be changed... but the tdf I downloaded already had that change made (ref to line 14 is from memory, if I referred to the wrong line here, I did check the correct line when I had that info in front of me). thanks!
ps I see reference to Guide9 (when?) if Guide9 comes only on DVD I'll have to buy a new pc unless Bill gets around to coding it for linux.
ps2 maybe I'm the only one still with interest re xz80q as I think it was originally posted around 2003.
