Re: [guide-user] Searching for UCAC2 stars

Hi Claudio,

With both UCAC-2 and UCAC-3, you can do this if the data
is installed to the hard drive or displayed from a CD or DVD,
as described at

http://www.projectpluto.com/update8c.htm#ucac2_display
http://www.projectpluto.com/new.htm#ucac3_hd_dvd

The trick is to use Go To... Object Name. Then entering
in something like

U2 31-415926
3UC 314-159265

for UCAC-2 or UCAC-3 respectively, will get you the object
from that catalogue.

In writing this, I see a mistake I made: the eventual
decision that was made was that UCAC-2 objects would be designated
2U, not U2, followed by a zone number and a number within that
zone. When UCAC-3 came along, it was pointed out that '3U' was
being used as a prefix for some other catalog, so they are
officially 3UC plus zone plus number within zone. Anyway...
I've revised the software so that either 'U2' or the official
'2U' will work.
