Hi!

I do. I haven't pulled down the latest release yet, but I turned my old copy off to eliminate it as a source of the error.

I replaced the contents of comets.dat with a 0, and the duplicates are gone. Great! (And the solution brings back fond memories of how stuff in Guide can be fixed by the user, through "messing" around with files :D)

Bill, thanks for the welcome! :) I have browsed this user group a bit, and I'm still amazed at the level of support you offer.

As for the update, I remembered the "latest test release" page

http://www.projectpluto.com/new.htm

so I am in fact running the 7 oct 2009 version. But my comets.dat was old as the hills, so I guess we may still blame it for the duplicates, despite the asteroid fix you mentioned.

I look forward to try to get Guide to control my ETX. Have purchased all the necessary hardware, and keep fingers crossed.

Best,

Arild :)
