Today, when I started-up Guide, the UTC was correct and my local time was off by an hour. I had setup a custom time zone to compensate for the local time being off. I returned Guide to Eastern Standard Time, which is correct for may location, and now both local time and UTC are correct. The problem disappeared today as mysteriously as it appeared a couple of days ago.

By the way, I tried hitting alt-J and entering a TOFFSET= -1 and restarting Guide. It had no effect on time one way or the other. I am running the 2 June 2008 version of Guide.
