I don't see the designation in the Guide.txt file. Pasted here are
the contents:
SCOPE_MARGIN=.1
SCOPE_SYM=c5;E0,0,35;E0,0,20;f4;-90,-10;-90,10;-45,10;-45,-10;f4;90,-10;90,10;45,10;45,-10;f4;-10,90;10,90;
10,45;-10,45;f4;-10,-90;10,-90;10,-45;-10,-45;
SCOPE_TIMEOUT_MS=130
CITY_SYM=c5;E0,0,3;

Alt-J brings up a small window labeled "number of test flag" with a
value of one in the small user data entry box. I changed its value, the
UT as well as EST are still one hour behind. I put the value of one back
in the box which was its original value.
Right now I'm doing a work around by changing my PC clock to read
one hour ahead of my EST and the Guide 8 universal time as well as all
other time zones are correct. This is not fix the Guide 8 time problem
for me but for now the real time alt/azm of the sky objects in its star
charts are correct. This what I have to do for now until someone can
help me figure out how to fix the Guide 8 one hour behind time problem.
Tom
