Speaking only for myself, but it would also be _extremely_ helpful to have that capability in my guiding scope/Guide/ASCOM/EQMOD goto system. Aligning and syncing would be all that much easier, faster and more accurate. Not to say that a lost sync wouldn't be a show stopper any more.
