Hi Mark,

Ok at level 7 but at level 10 it shows two stars, the bright 7th mag
one with all the other refs and a much fainter 15th mag one for which
(obviously) there is only 3UC etc data.

Do you not see 2 stars?

While waiting for the LCROSS impact this morning I installed UCAC3
from the USNO DVD. Using the newest version of Guide, 7-Oct, the UCAC3
stars seem to be displaying properly. I have however found a behavior
which I don't understand. Here is a specific example. Go to SAO 98960.
At fixed level 7 (2°) the info box for this star shows SAO, TYC, PPM,
HIP,and HD identifiers and a magnitude of 7.149. Now zoom in to level
10 (15'). Now I get an info box that only has shows identifiers for
3UC & 2MASS and a magnitude of 15.6. I'm sure there is a explanation
for what is occurring, but I can't figure it out.

Mark
