Not quite sure exactly why that would have happened, but
I do know that in certain situations, you can resize Guide's
window and it then takes a while before chart drawing can
occur. Whenever the window is resized, it's temporarily set
by Windows to be white. So that's what you see, until
Windows gets around to sending Guide the 'update window'
message.

As you say, it's a strange effect. I can't get it to
happen in the manner you describe; while downloading is in
progress, I can't resize Guide's window. I know I've seen
it somewhere else, though. Fortunately, it's just a
temporary "whiteness" that ends once Guide regains control
over the window.
