You can copy the Guide directory from your computer directly to the USB
stick as long as you have space, about 1.5 gb, that way you keep all your
settings intact. Guide runs only from its own directory so it's a simple
copy and paste, nothing else installed. I use it from a USB drive when
travelling, it is a bit slower to refresh but very useable.

Thanks for your suggestion, I did not realize Guide would work that way,
most programs have to be installed from the install file. Did you try this
already?
Anyhow, I want a simpler version on the netbook.
I have a very extensive version on my normal computer.
