I'm not sure if this has been covered before or not ...

I have used the Vizier download feature for the NOMAD catalogue with success. However, I have NOMAD (both the short 15th mag version and full 96GB version) on hard drive for other software and was wondering if I could incorporate it instead to generate more visually realistic charts than my current strategy of UCAC2 when away from a network connection? Would I have to write a TDF file? Has anyone already done one?
