As Matt, Oliver, and Hartwig noted, the Charon/Guide link has been
"broken"... and I think has been so for a while now. The reason was
that Charon didn't pay attention to the focal length passed to it on
the command line.

I've fixed this. You will have to re-load CHARON.ZIP (Guide
itself didn't require any fix.)

About compensation of equatorial scopes in general: the way I've
handled this for encoder-based systems (and would handle it for _any_
equatorial scope) is to recognize that you have to work in hour angle
and dec, rather than RA/dec. Once you do that, the math is (almost)
as straightforward as for the alt/az case.
