Hi Bill,
I've been unable to do any observing since 1986. My primary
interest in astronomy since then has been in researching
Delta-T. I'm trying to set Guide 8 strictly for that purpose, and
would like to change a couple of defaults in the eclipse maps if
possible. I rarely use "Settings|Mark interval" and have to re-set
it to "0" each time. Can this be changed to be the default? And can
"Extras|Local events only" be on as default, as the other two already
are? I use all three most of the time.
Also, there used to be an option to set the Moon as Line, where the
image was just a circle. I use the Solid color, Bitmap #1, and
Clementine images, but Line was handy to see where the actual limbs
of the Sun and Moon were with respect to each other. I know how to
use Insert to measure center-to-center disc separation, but would
also like to be able to show their relationship on images
sometimes. Is it possible to restore the old "Line" feature?
(And yes, this time I did mean to post to the group rather than
directly to Bill. I think a few others are interested in historic
solar eclipses, and this might be of interest to them.)
Thanks,
Larry
