Simply go to:
http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/iau/MPEph/MPEph.html
and type in the asteroid designation and make sure you get the Guide listing.
Once done, open the file presented in a .txt format and SAVE that file to some folder that
you can find.
Once done, open Guide and go to EXTRAs/Add MPC Comets, etc.....and open the file into that
window....click on the last line on that new window to put the file into the Comets
folder.
The one line Guide listing (for my observatory, H45) is:
2009 FH 18.0000 6 2009 39.7921 0.975346
0.337237 0.6785 24.0275 176.5411 2000.0 26.6 0.15 A MPEC 2009-F13
**watch the line wrap!**
Note that if you want to use the astrometric program Charon to locate and measure the
asteroid that has just been entered, you must use a "c" (comet) entry rather than the "a"
entry as you normally would.
Best of luck....
Dr. Clay
