I don't directly use MPCORB.dat. What I do is copy NEAtod.dat from
ftp://cfa-ftp.harvard.edu/pub/MPCORB/ twice renaming it mpcorb.dat
and neatod.dat which I place in the Guide directory. My understanding
of the other two files I download from the MPC is that same as yours
so position designators should not get duplicated from those.
