As others have indicated, this should be quite straightforward.
You _can_ just run 'setup' to install to the thumb drive, but
Jim's suggestion has merit in that if you copy everything over,
you'll also have all of your settings (data shown, colors, time
zone, lat/lon, etc., etc.)

This works largely because Guide keeps everything within its
own folder, with no registry entries or such to confuse matters.
I doubt the trick would work with most software.

If you've only installed disk 1 to your hard drive, you can
fit everything onto a 1-gig thumb drive without trouble. If you've
installed everything from both disks, then you'll need a bit over
1.4 GBytes.
