To All,
It would be very helpful to have a way to remove a hotkey from a function in
Guide.
It is too easy to hit the F7 key when I really want to zoom to level 7. The
default action for the F7 key loads the next mark. My current work-around is
to reassign the "Load next mark" function to the "@" hotkey. I chose the @ key
arbitrarily because it wasn't already in use and because it is a bit out of
the way.
I did read the instructions at
http://www.projectpluto.com/hotkeys.htm for
editing the hotkey.dat file, and it appears to say I can "comment out" the
hotkey for "Load next mark", but it would be far more convenient (and safer)
if the Settings > Toolbar... dialog contained a "Remove" hotkey function.
BTW, I discovered that the first line in my toolbar.dat file contained the
number 0322 which limited the number of functions visible in the Toolbar...
dialog. I changed the number to 0654, and now I see all the functions that can
appear on the toolbar and/or can be controlled by hotkeys. I also read
"General info on activating the 'usually inactive' toolbar buttons in Guide"
at
http://www.projectpluto.com/toolbar.htm#activating It explains whey only 322
buttons are usually visible in the Toolbars... dialog.
Does anyone have a better work-around for disabling any specific hotkey that
has been assigned?
Thanks for the help.
