Can't help you with the Guide options, but if you haven't already been
there have a look at
http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/orbits/
which gives a quick and easy 3D visual representation of any known orbit
relative to the planets.

Subject: [guide-user] orbit lines
Is there a way to draw orbit lines for the planets? I discovered that
if I place myself 15 AU above the Solar System, I can visualize an
asteroid's orbital path by setting a Trail Length of at least the
asteroid's orbital period in days. However, I can't figure out how to
do the same for planets. I am interested in seeing if the orbits of
the asteroid and the planet appear to cross.
